The MAHOGANY Chair
Po Shun Leong
Ca. 1976
This chair was added to our catalogue in 2022, and proved to be one of the hardest pieces to develop. The chair is deceivingly simple, with four legs held together by the armrests and by two hand-turned poles holding the front and back legs. The backrest is made of two cylindrical pieces that are inserted into the armrests. Astonishing about this chair is the way the leather seat and backrest are placed, inserted into the cylinders in the backrest so that one doesn’t see the seams, and with the pocket-shaped seat coming out of the armrests. This is one of the most beautiful, simple and elegant pieces in our collection.
