ARMANDO FRANCO

(1921-2022)

Armando Franco began his professional life as an artist but soon shifted to architecture. As a student, he found his way to the theories of modernist architecture, the International Style, and the Bauhaus, from where he derived much inspiration for his architectural and furniture designs. Most of his furniture designs date to the mid-1950s and were produced under his family brand, COFRAN. The pieces are as exquisite as they are complex and were mostly lost until we were able to develop them together with Franco once we managed to get in touch with him in 2017
