The ATTOLINI Chair

Antonio Attolini Lack
1985

In part an homage to the Rietveld chair, Attolini made this chair for his own home following the same principles of his Butaque, using two simple, easily found materials: pine and leather. Although both friends and clients asked him to remake this chair for them, he never changed the design’s dimensions. He did, however, like making changes to the decorative, geometric seams that appear on the backrest and seat. The chair also has a sort of DIY element to its structure, made out of straight pieces that are easily found and cut.
